Making Sherbet

Today we were scientists! We explored what happened when we mixed chemicals together and then added water.

Here is the recipe to make sherbet so you can try it at home:

1/2 tsp of citric acid
1 tsp icing sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 flavouring (we used raro)

Mix it altogether!
Eat it!

We found out that mixing together the baking soda and the citric acid produced a reaction. That reaction created gas - the bubbles that we could feel on our tongues.
